The Basque Museum of the History of Medicine and Science
The Basque Museum of the History of Medicine and Science is a one-of-a-kind museum in the State.
It has a collection of 6,000 medical and scientific objects from the 19th and 20th centuries that have been used by doctors and hospitals in the Basque Country, as well as a large library made up of encyclopaedias and medical books from the same period that preserve the collective history of contemporary medicine.
It was founded in 1982 by José Luis Goti and is located on the Bizkaia Campus of the EHU/UPV.

Txakoli Interpretation Centre
Through a system of panels and videos, you will be able to learn the details of the production and the history and culture of this great Biscayan wine.
The Interpretation Centre offers guided tours and wine tastings, and in the “Bizkaiko Txakolina” shop, you can buy these wines at winery prices, either in person or on request.
Mendibile Jauregia jatetxea, in the same building, is a restaurant where you can treat yourself to a delicious meal à la carte or a special menu.
If you come to Leioa, you must come and taste our wines.

Kultur Leioa
Kultur Leioa is a public institution of the Leioa Town Council’s Culture Department that promotes, supports and disseminates culture and creation.
Kultur Leioa, officially opened in September 2004, has become a major focus of cultural attraction in the town and the surrounding area.
Covering a surface area of 7000m2, it is a multifunctional building with unbeatable technical facilities. In addition to its own programme, Kultur Leioa hosts activities organised by other municipal Services and Departments.
The office of the Cultural Programming and Dissemination Department of Leioa Town Council is located on the fourth floor of Kultur Leioa.
This office seeks to promote the training, information and awareness of citizens on different cultural aspects.
To this end, activities are held throughout the year and for all audiences, such as exhibitions, cinema, theatre, music and dance, conferences, themed weeks, street programmes (such as Umore Azoka, Musikale, Bailables and Bailes Camp, Boulevariedades),
Agricultural and Crafts Fairs, Leioa’s own Festivals, etc.
It also leases and rents out its spaces to host receptions, exhibitions, seminars, meetings and presentations in a unique space in Leioa.
