There are many sports venues in Leioa where you can practise your favourite sport.
Leioa’s Municipal Sports Facilities are located in different areas of the town.
The Sakoneta sports centre is probably the best known and where the administrative and organisational aspects of the sports area are concentrated.
Bidegorris
You can safely ride your bike in Leioa. More than 16 kilometres of bidegorris – exclusive bike lanes – allow you to ride through parks, gardens and districts without the risk of road traffic.
An integration project is currently being developed to link our town with Bilbao and the University, which, together with the existing bike lanes, will form a large network of bike lanes for you to enjoy starting from Leioa.

Sports facilities in Torresolo
Outdoor swimming pools in Torresolo include a large swimming pool with a spa area, a splash pool equipped with children’s facilities, another pool featuring slides and a pirate ship with a variety of waterslides to entertain the little ones.
They are open in the summer, from 15 June to 15 September, and you can drop in without an appointment. At this time of the year, there are a multitude of swimming courses, family activities and many fun things to do and see.

Paddle Tennis and Tennis Courts
Torresolo also has seven state-of-the-art covered and illuminated outdoor courts located in a beautiful natural environment.
There is an outdoor concrete tennis court, with a large leisure area, built in natural surroundings and equipped with changing rooms.

Sarriena
Las instalaciones municipales de la Sociedad Deportiva Leioa are the second largest sports facilities in Bizkaia, second only to those of Lezama, owned by Athletic Club, and were built in the Sarriena district of Leioa at the end of the 1980s.
The Sociedad Deportiva has four football pitches, one natural grass field and three artificial pitches.
It also offers a large car park and a bar.
Skateboarding tracks
The Skatepark Leioa was opened in 2011 and offers 300m2 for skateboarding.
It is located on one of the sides of Pinosolo Park, on Av. Txikia, just behind the Volkswagen dealership and next to La Avanzada 1 car park.
It is free to access, and you can enjoy your favourite sport alone or in the company of your friends and family.
It has a medium level of difficulty, with some walls that are practically vertical.
